OK so this is my 3rd try! I have written this post 3 times...Don't even ask me what happened.
So much has happened this week that I don't know where to start. Well I finished my hats and it was fun making them. The hat giveaway on my Facebook page did not go so well. I had to cancel it due to lack of participation. That was a bummer! I was going to make some sleep masks and as I was going through my fabric I realized that I did not have the right king of material. So I went to Fabric.com and ordered some satin fabric. It will take a week before my order is here so until than I think I will work on some eyeglass sleeves which are one of my best sellers as well as my rice heat pads. Oh and I need to take some pictures and list some items into my shop. I just love my job!
I have made a life changing decision this week that I feel will give me a new beginning. After trying for so long to lose weight I have decided to join Nutrisystem. I am in my third day and I feel yucky. My food intake is very small for this first week. 3 meals and 2 protein shakes a day for now than next week I can add in more food. My energy level is way down for lack of food so I have done much of nothing today. (Trying to blog...I think I have it memorized now) But anyway I am really excited and I have lost 3 lbs already! I want to be healthy and have the strength and energy to play with and enjoy my two baby grandchildren.
Thinking of my mama today as I do everyday. She has been battling lung cancer for many years now and staying strong. 5 years ago she was diagnosed with stage 2 lung cancer which was a blow to the family because she has never smoked. She had the lower lobe of her left lung removed, went through a year of chemo than a few months of radiation. Cat scan came out clean, no sign of cancer. 2 years later she got sick, went to the Dr and was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. She has been doing chemo ever since. I hate cancer! So many I know that has or has had cancer and many that are here with us no longer because of cancer. I am a cancer survivor myself. I had a rare intestinal cancer that was extracted with surgery. Thank God I did not have to go through any chemo or radiation . I don't think I would have handled it as well as my mother has. By the way...my mother makes crochet afghans. It helps to keep her mind and hands busy, and helps her to relax. She sells them in my shop and for everyone of her afghans that sell I personally give a dollar amount donation to City Of Hope. That is where she gets her care, it is an excellent place. If you would like to see her work just go to my shop and look under "mama's corner. My Shops Link Out of all this my mother has made a choice. She has accepted Jesus! I am so happy that she now leans on His Word and His love for strength.
