My Goal Outfit

It doesn't look like much, but I really love this washed denim dress. I bought it a while back and have not been able to fit into it. It will hang in my closet as you see it here and hopefully someday soon I will wear it.

New Beginning

OK so this is my 3rd try! I have written this post 3 times...Don't even  ask me what happened.
So much has happened this week that I don't know where to start. Well I finished my hats and it was fun making them. The hat giveaway on my Facebook page did not go so well. I had to cancel it due to lack of participation. That was a bummer! I was going to make some sleep masks and as I was going through my fabric  I realized that I did not have the right king of material. So I went to Fabric.com and ordered some satin fabric. It will take a week before my order is here so until than I think I will work on some eyeglass sleeves which are one of my best sellers as well as my rice heat pads. Oh and I need to take some pictures and list some items into my shop. I just love my job!
I have made a life changing decision this week that I feel will give me a new beginning. After trying for so long to lose weight I have decided to join Nutrisystem. I am in my third day and I feel yucky. My food intake is very small for this first week. 3 meals and 2 protein shakes a day for now than next week I can add in more food. My energy level is way down for lack of food so I have done much of nothing today. (Trying to blog...I think I have it memorized now) But anyway I am really excited and I have lost 3 lbs already! I want to be healthy and have the strength and energy to play with and enjoy my two baby grandchildren.
Thinking of my mama today as I do everyday. She has been battling lung cancer for many years now and staying strong. 5 years ago she was diagnosed with stage 2 lung cancer which was a blow to the family because she has never smoked. She had the lower lobe of her left lung removed, went through a year of chemo than a few months of radiation. Cat scan came out clean, no sign of cancer. 2 years later she got sick, went to the Dr and was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. She has been doing chemo ever since. I hate cancer! So many I know that has or has had cancer and many that are here with us no longer because of  cancer. I am a cancer survivor myself. I had a rare intestinal cancer that was extracted with surgery. Thank God I did not have to go through any chemo or radiation . I don't think I would have handled it as well as my mother has. By the way...my mother makes crochet afghans. It helps to keep her mind and hands busy, and helps her to relax. She sells them in my shop and for everyone of her afghans that sell I personally give a dollar amount donation to City Of Hope. That is where she gets her care, it is an excellent place. If you would like to see her work just go to my shop and look under "mama's corner. My Shops Link  Out of all this my mother has made a choice. She has accepted Jesus! I am so happy that she now leans on His Word and His love for strength.

Several day's have passed since my last post. Just been really busy with my shop. I just introduced a new section into my shop called "My Little Finds." It consists of a selection of vintage item's hand picked by me. I love to go pickin and Ebay has some good finds as well. So that was a lot of work. I took over 300 pictures, cropped them all and than posted all of the items into my shop. It took me a few day's. I am also working on a Kaftan that I will be finishing up here in a couple of day's. Today I worked on my shabby tea towel hats. Made my first one, the first one is always my trial one, so it didn't come out so perfect. I will be giving it away in a drawing! So if your interested in entering the drawing just go my my facebook page and type in your name in the comment section of the post..you'll see it. I will draw a name in a few day's and announce the winner on my facebook page. My Business Facebook Page   Oh and I bought a new sewing machine on Amazon.com. I have not tried it yet, need time to watch the instructional dvd. It embroiders!!!

My Favorite Rock

Missed church today...ya I got up at my usual time (early) started getting ready and very excited about hearing a good teaching and engaging in some fellowship. When my husband hollers form the other room "hey babe, what time is it?' My response "it's 9:15" to which he responded "my computer says 10:15!" Service starts at 10:30.....our drive to church is 45 minutes.......
We ended up eating breakfast at one of our favorite places, which by the way was sooo yummy. I had eggs benedict with no sauce and a fruit bowl. From there we went onto Twin Lakes and took some pictures and just enjoyed the fresh air. It was a beautiful day, the sun was out and the ice covered lake glistened like diamonds. On our drive back home I looked over to my favorite mountain point and once again it's  brilliance and majesty struck my heart, taking me into deep thought. I asked my husband to take me to my favorite place, so he continued to drive up the winding road. I must tell you when you go around that last corner and see the view, wow, it is amazing! I can never get tired of it, each time it's like a new experience, and each season has it's own glory. Anyway there is one particular mountain that I am speaking of here. It's called Mt. Morrison. It's elevation is 12,276 feet and it is formed from Metamorphic rock, which makes up the earths crust. It is said to be at a Paleozoic age, which means (ancient life) being anywhere from 541 to 252.17 million years old. It is one old big rock! I have been coming up to this place since I was age 5. My parents would take us camping here and all over this area, so I have a real love for this place, lot's of memories. Now that I am older and I get to wake up every morning to God's beauty I have learned to really respect nature and have a great  desire to be in it. But this rock........it's majesty takes me into deep thought. My thoughts wander onto my God and what a mighty, strong, rock He is. He is ageless and timeless and He is my foundation. I stand on this rock and He upholds me...He "is" my foundation.
Well into the evening we go and it is not the least bit dark. It will take awhile to get used to this time change. Enjoying this great day and now....back to other important stuff.

Blessings And Confession

Welcome to my office. I am so blessed to be living in such a beautiful place. My job working at home is the best. Yesterday I took 300 photos of items that I will be listing into my shop, most of them outside. Ya it was a lot of work. But I took my little wifi sound box out with me and played classical music while I did the shoot. It was so peaceful as I watched the little birds fluttering around me and chirping along to the music. The weeping willow that I was shaded under has no leaves right now, but I see the little leaf buds springing up on the branches. Soon it will be full of small green leaves and the branches will be flowing and draping down like a big beautiful umbrella. I love this tree!
Today as I drove into town to drop of my orders at the post office I was amazed at the beautiful snow glistened mountains. Such beauty. Before you know the snow will melt and the rivers will be flowing strong. Can't wait for hiking season. Actually I was thinking about putting my snow boots on and taking a walk around my favorite lake. It is really peaceful around the back side with the hallway of aspen trees guiding you on a boardwalk where you can watch the river flow into the lake. I am in aw of my creator God. What a master artist He is! Anyway...after my shopping on the way home I was in deep thought of my grandchildren. How I long to see my little Sebastian who lives far way in another state. He is almost 4 months old. And my little Celseste' whom I saw born into this world. She will be 3 months old soon. I was remembering how God spoke to me on the day Celseste' was born. Through her birth He reminded me of my re-birth in Christ. You see, recently I went through a severe depression and I felt as if there was no need for me being here. Oh my husband, what love and compassion he had on me as those couple of years where very hard for both of us. I think he did not know what to do other than pray. When I saw the birth of my granddaughter, my purpose for life was revealed once again to me. I am here because I am loved by Him, He has given me new life and because of that I need not wallow in self pity. Today I am healed and continue to trust my life in His hands no matter the circumstances. He is my strength. Life is a journey, there will be good and bad, there will be sadness and happy times. One of the things I learned from this particular trial is that nothing can take my joy, no trial or tribulation can take away the joy I have in Jesus.
Be thankful for all things good and bad. Learn from your life experiences and make that change that needs to be made. Behind every face is a story and only you and God know exactly what it entails. Leave it in His hands and be free.
On another subject...I made a sale today! I had just listed a necklace that I found on Ebay and 5 minutes later it sold. Wow, I am so thankful. So I am done for the day. Having leftover chicken for dinner with salad. Maybe do a little crochet tonight to wind down. It really is relaxing ya know. Hey, anyone watch American Idol? I am so disappointed this year on how the audience voted. I do have a couple favorites though. I guess we'll see how it goes. You all have a good evening.

New At This

Posting for the first time on my blog. I'm not much for writing, but this is something that I have wanted to do for awhile now. Please forgive my misspelled words!
I spent a lot of time doing inventory of some items that I have purchased over some time now. I will be listing them into my shop. I decided to open a section called"My Little Finds." This section will consist of used items that I like. I really love to go junking or what some call picking. American Pickers is one of my favorite shows to watch. Anyway, I am really excited about introducing this section to my shop. I really hope it does well. I posted some pictures of some of my finds on my facebook page and I have gotten some good feedback.
I found this new website called Bestie.com. I really like it. It kind of reminds me of Pinterest, only it's to help advertise your goods that you sell and you can also shop and purchase items as well. You should check it out. This is my profile link. Https://Bestie.com/eagerhands
It sure was a busy day. Cooked a nice breakfast, worked out for an hour...trying to loose 20 lbs by the end of May. Haha let's see how I do! Did 40 minutes of cardio and than triceps and biceps. Tomorrow will be legs (yuck). Than spent the rest of the day into the evening working in my craft room. As I was shutting down for the day to go cook dinner I looked out my window and saw a cute little fox sitting on top of the wood fence just  sitting there looking at me. He is so cute! He is a big male, just one of the several foxes that come by in the evening hoping to get some goodies. And yes I do give them goodies! So dinner consisted of steak, basmatti rice and green beans....and girl scout cookies for dessert.
My evening ends with chillin out with a little bit of crochet and hanging with my hubby.
You all have a good evening!
