My Favorite Time.....

What's your favorite time of year? Mine is fall, I call it sweater weather! I just love the crispiness in the air and the beautiful coloring of the changing trees and bushes. This is also the beginning of a busy time for me and my shop. I have been making plenty of earmuffs, scarves, shawls and will be making some new kinds if slippers this year along with some arm warmers and a few accessories. I had to cancel my spot at the craft show in Carson City at the high school due to the fact I was just not able to get things made in time. I have been taking several trips to my parents house, spending time with my mom is important to me. My mother is now on hospice and is doing OK for her condition. Please keep her in your prayers, she is in a lot of pain. Her name is Judy. I will be writing again soon and will have some pic's for ya.

Let's Try This Again

It has been a very long while since my last blog. So I am committing to trying this again lol! Let see how I do. As far as my shop goes, it is on hold as of now. It is open and you can make purchases, but my crafting and posting item's have slowed down. I am taking some time off to spend as much time with my mother as possible. She has received all the chemo she can take and is now on hospice. But I tell ya, she is a very strong women and hanging in there.
I have 4 grand children now...yes 4! Celeste, Mabel, Sebastian and Sophia, my little blessings. I have met my blue eyed Mabel once and she is a beauty for sure. Still looking forward to the day when I meet Sebastian and Sophia. I spend a lot of time with Celeste because she lives near to me. Missing her so much and looking forward to seeing her next week. Last time I was visiting with her I was able to witness her "first Step." She is sooo cute!

It has been very cold here and we have gotten a bunch of snow that is much needed...thank you Lord. Been keeping busy feeding the little critters. This is my newest friend that I named Chickory.

I have taken up a new hobby in which I enjoy very much. Love spending time with my hubby learning how to shoot. Ya that's me!

I am so thankful for this beautiful place......

Happy Day's

The whole month of September we have had family and friends visiting, it was really nice to hang out with people I love. Had a few guy's from our old church come up and do some fishing with my husband than our good friend James came out from Pheonix, Arizona. And to top it off our daughter and granddaughter came out for a week. What a blessing!
So it is time to get back to work. Working on my hand warmers and getting ready to post some new stuff into my shop. This is a busy season for me, I already have people buying for Christmas. I have so much to do I am feeling overwhelmed. I want to  make some sugar scrubs and bath salts, arm warmers and hoping to make some Christmas decorations. But I can only do so much, so lets see how much I can get done.
I went way off my nutrisystem plan while our visitors were here but to my surprise I gained no weight at all. So I am back in the gym now and continuing on in reaching my goal weight. It sure was fun eating pizza, burgers, pie, ice cream, mexican food which I haven't had in a year or so! It did  make me feel bad though...back to the veggies.
Just a short note today, busy,busy,busy....gotta get back to work.

New Adventure

My day's have been long and full of hard work. One of my shops best selling item are my rice heating pads. While my husband was away in New York it was the perfect time for me to get busy in building up my supply of heating pads and hand warmers for the Christmas season. I cut out and almost have the heating pads all sewn together, about 40 of them! This week I will be finishing those up and starting on hand warmers. It is a lot of work because in between all of that I have advertising to do a long with photo shoots and listing. But I am very happy I got to the point where I am at as of now. A work in progress!

My husband is on his way back from his long trip. But there has been a halt...his plane broke down in LA so they had to cancel his flight home. So he is stuck in LA, oh and they lost his luggage but just found out that they did find it after all. He spent last night in a hotel paid for by the airlines a long with vouchers for food. Let's see if he makes it home tonight! But anyway...it was all for seeing his grandson Sebastian for the first time, well worth it all for sure.

Fall is in the air already. Woke up the other morning to find that the birdbath had froze over night. My favorite season! Time to get back to work, God bless you all and have a wonderful happy day.

Homeward Bound

I had a great time visiting family. Got to spend some quality time with my Granddaughter Celeste. She is so wonderful! On my way home this morning and cannot wait to see my bestfriend and hubby, miss him sooo much. You all have a great week.

Conclusion

So it's been awhile since my last post and this one will be quick. I havd come to the conclusion that I am not a good blogger. That being said I will cintinue to blog when I can. Anyway..a lot has been going on, way to much to talk about, so I will just comment on whats important.
My mother hasn't had to have a chemo treatment in several months however she seems to be getting weak. Please pray for her.
As you can see my granddaughter Celeste is growing rapidly and boy is she beautiful, love her so much. She fell asleep on me last night.

Summer up in the Sierras has been beautiful. The gardens are bloomimg with flowers and the mountains are vibrant with color this year due to the rain this spring. We have recently had a large black bear comming around the neighborhood every evening. He has been getting into garages and steeling dog food. Haven't seen him in a few nights, hope he is gone. Took these beautiful pictures last week, morning sunrise and evening sunset.

My shops been doing pretty good, I have been selling just about every week. Making some vintage inspired aprons and some shawls and scarves. Next week I will be stocking up on my hand warmers and heat pads for Christmas, those are my best sellers.
